Here's some sneak preview of the photos I've uploaded to facebook. Drop by facebook for the rest!
I think my sister Winnie and I bought like tons of things. We bought like 2 pairs of sandals and 1 pair of flats, 2 t-shirts, 2 tank tops, 1 polo tee, 1 long sleeve pull over, 1 sports lingerie and 1 lip balm.
Of coz, we also went KTV, watch 2 movies, tried rock climbing and archery. It was really fun.

    Here's a quote from my cousin's blog.

"I am so looking forward to the trip next week to KL & Genting for the Chinese New Year. Although it is a place where we have been so many times, but it's the company and the atmosphere that counts."
It really helps to explain why I always go to the same place and never get bored. Like why I always go visit my granny at Ubi.

    It's the ppl that counts!

So this post is sort of like an announcement that I'll be away from Sunday to Wednesday. For non-urgent matters catch me on Thursday itself earliest. Thanks and advance Happy Chinese New Year to all!

I think that my title is a Xmas song...
This is a season to be jolly

    Lalalalala Lala~Lala

Just realised that there are some photos which I forget to post abt. The festive mood that has been going around since Dec 2008, last year.

The one and only Christmas tree photo I took. And the saddest thing was I didn't bring my camera to take a better shot. Anyway the Xmas photos were taken in the hotel lobby of Swissotel The Stamford. My cousins and my sister, accompanied the daughters of my uncle's Thai biz partner, over the weekend after Xmas.

Love this Hansel and Gretel House which was a photography site for its hotel residents in Swissotel during the festive season.

(Courtesy of Boat) I grabbed another clearer picture of the Hansel and Gretel house froom facebook.

The signature clock at the lobby of the Swissotel.

The internal works of the brillant thing.

The fantastic night view from the balcony of the 31st storey of Swissotel. Really awesome!

This view of the Esplanade is like so exclusive to the rich ppl. Haha. I'm fortunate have the chance to take a couple of photos using Boat's camera for my own keep sake.

The next thing you know... Here comes Chinese New Year! Look at the traffic... and the Cai Shen Ye.

I didn't know you can get great scenery at a carpark in Chinatown, though it didn't come out as fantastic in the photo.

I think different ppl have different perspective when watching movies or TV programmes. Most Singaporeans, I would say, like to watch movies which are self-explanatary and minimum thinking required. Of coz when I come across such movies, I'll enjoy it too, but I don't belong to the group of majority. One big reason is I don't want to feel brainless after movies all the time. Some ponder about the movie will simulate the brain.

One example is The Day The Earth Stood Still, which I watch last December. If you blindly watch the movie, you'll sure leave the cinema wiith question marks on top of your head. Why not try to fill in the gaps with your own imagination and logic? I'm sure it'll be fulfilling too.

Movies like Wall.E and The Fountain are meant to be thought provoking. Wall.E teaches all human beings to be warned of the consequences of continuing to destroy our natural environment. It makes you rethink about how a little effort you makke can save the Earth and vice versa, how a little extra litter you throw would add on to the burden of the Earth. The Fountain simulates rethinking of your life. It's all about the spirtual and emotions about life and I think it's important to ponder on that to continue on a smoother life journey.

I don't mind going to a movie which is adopted from a best selling book before reading the book itself. Even if the story plot is different from the original plot in the book. Because you'll be enjoying a brand new plot when you pick up the book and read it. That's double enjoyment. So why not?

In the case whereby I've read the book then go for the movie, I think it'll be great to fill in the details the movie left out from the book. Firstly it stimulates thinking and memory skills. Secondly, watching a movie which is adopted from the story I've read sort of make the imagination come alive though it may not be exactly the same. Which I think is awesome about motion pictures. So don't complain about the movie being hasty and don't follow the original plot. Come on, just sit through and enjoy it.

The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and (going to read) Twilight are movies which I had interest in reading after the movies. This is good coz Singaporeans don't read as much books as say the Americans. Hence, somehow, it helps me to pick up a good hobby.

However, I must say, like most ppl, I didn't like The Da Vinci Code, written by Dan Brown, that was made into a movie. Coz I felt that Tom Hanks, as the main character Robert Langdon in the film, was like totally off the description in the book which was a put off for me. In the book, Robert is a lean, physically fit and handsome man in his forties who was definitely not balding. He supposed to look young despite the grey hair.Tom Hanks definitely didn't fit the description in terms of built but I must say he did portray the soul of Robert Langdon well. So after all, I thought the movie was still great.

Tonight, I went to Twilight with Justina, and thought the movie was really very enjoyable. Fortunately we managed to catch the last day of its screening. Even for someone had read the book said that the part where Bella interogates Edward about him being a vampire was better in the movie, despite that the movie is quite different from the storyline in the book. So I just have to say that indeed, just take it as you're enjoying 2 versions of the story. For those who missed it, do catch it on DVD!
