Fortunately there's the Internet!

I was first in touch with the Japanese craze in 1999, where I was chasing after 金田一少年の事件簿 drama serials which was aired on then CableTV (now Starhub Vision or sth). After totally falling in love with this drama, I expanded into other dramas like To Heart, Summer Snow and Hero.

Of coz I was in love with Utada Hikaru, Kinki Kids. The former with her music, the latter with everything they do since they host TV programs, act in dramas, and most importantly Tsuyoshi of Kinki Kids can really sing well!

These few Japanese artistes were the few whom I still took note of their works throughout these years. However, with all the restrictions I mentioned in paragraph 1, my J-frenzy died off around 2004 since it wasn't easy to even get hold of a J-drama serial. Then it was followed by:
2005 to 2006 - Taiwanese wave
2007 to 2008 - Hongkong drama craze
K-craze was making their way into SG's market gradually at first in early 2000s and accelerated in the end. But I was never much of a K-drama fan. I only watched Winter Sonata in the period of 2002, Goong ard years 2006 to 2007, Iijimae and The Story of the First King's Four Gods in 2008.
In 2009, I'm riding on the J-wave again. This time it's influenced by this guy, YamaPi. Haha, he's another JE (Johnny's Entertainment) artiste who's absolutely cute. I watched his drama Proposal Daisakuzen and fell in love with J-drama once again. What I cherish more in this drama is the theme about friendship than romance, though both were brillantly depicted in the show.
A quote from from the show: "I thought that the time we spent during school days was going to be infinite because we were always together all the time. However, all these times turned into precious memories for me now."
--- Iwase Ken, when he recalled that after uni grad, 5 of them didn't meet since the start of the year and it was already summer.
