It seems that everyone is riding on the Korean Wave now. Either it's forced since Mediacorp always shows Korean drama and rarely any Japanese ones. Haha, partly coz Korean dramas are cheaper and can be aired for a longer time then Japanese dramas. Of coz Japanese dramas are kinda difficult to get their licenses to be rent or sold as DVDs in SG at least.

    Fortunately there's the Internet!

I was first in touch with the Japanese craze in 1999, where I was chasing after 金田一少年の事件簿 drama serials which was aired on then CableTV (now Starhub Vision or sth). After totally falling in love with this drama, I expanded into other dramas like To Heart, Summer Snow and Hero.
Of coz I was in love with Utada Hikaru, Kinki Kids. The former with her music, the latter with everything they do since they host TV programs, act in dramas, and most importantly Tsuyoshi of Kinki Kids can really sing well!

These few Japanese artistes were the few whom I still took note of their works throughout these years. However, with all the restrictions I mentioned in paragraph 1, my J-frenzy died off around 2004 since it wasn't easy to even get hold of a J-drama serial. Then it was followed by:

    2005 to 2006 - Taiwanese wave

    2007 to 2008 - Hongkong drama craze
K-craze was making their way into SG's market gradually at first in early 2000s and accelerated in the end. But I was never much of a K-drama fan. I only watched Winter Sonata in the period of 2002, Goong ard years 2006 to 2007, Iijimae and The Story of the First King's Four Gods in 2008.

In 2009, I'm riding on the J-wave again. This time it's influenced by this guy, YamaPi. Haha, he's another JE (Johnny's Entertainment) artiste who's absolutely cute. I watched his drama Proposal Daisakuzen and fell in love with J-drama once again. What I cherish more in this drama is the theme about friendship than romance, though both were brillantly depicted in the show.
A quote from from the show: "I thought that the time we spent during school days was going to be infinite because we were always together all the time. However, all these times turned into precious memories for me now."

--- Iwase Ken, when he recalled that after uni grad, 5 of them didn't meet since the start of the year and it was already summer.

Thanks to my cousin Lynda who craved to eat English high tea, my sis and me had the opportunity to taste scones for the first time in our lives!

We may be quite mountain turtle as compared to those who eat "widely". However, I feel that everytime I'm exposed to a delicious new food, I'll be very excited. My quest to continue trying creative cuisines shall continue!

    Salmon Platter

2 slices of house cakes - Layers of Cream and Carrot Cake

2 open face sandwiches - shrimp and cavier & salmon and egg mayo

The set comes with 2 scones but we've eaten them, so they're not in the photo. Haha, we're just too hungry! The butter, jam and whipped cream, which comes with the scones, are just fantastic! However I concluded that scones are not sth which guys will find it nice. Coz the taste is very fine and delicate. Guys usually go for strong taste like fried chicken.

Lastly let me rate this place with 5 stars. Lolz try it if you have the chance =)

It's called Royal Copenhagen Tea Lounge. Haha, guess where it is located!

I'm trying to spite someone. So by looking at the photo, she will be "amused". I'm looking forth that she'll tag. Anyway I think everyone wants to know who and what I'm talking about.

Somehow, me and "that person" have similarities. Perhaps you tend to like ppl with the same taste for things. Hahaha.

Then the below is a photo which I went thru an ordeal to capture it. Haha, too exaggerating la. The cake shop forbade photo-taking of their cakes. But I just did to share with you the lovely cakes (though I doubt the taste is great). The shop is at Bedok Blk 216.

The cakes are shaped like an apple and durian I supposed. They had Filet-O-Fish and hamburgers a few weeks back.

Finally I gotta try my first Omurice a month back when I went to town with my sis. Then I had the 2nd one yesterday with Justina, Xiaoli, Wenjie and Hongtat at Tampines 1, Japanese Goumet Food Town. These photos are Hayashi Rice and Omurice from Takashimaya's food court.

Do some simple and "not-so-good" editing for my cousin Tenny's belated 22nd birthday video.
